Top Blogs of 2015

Reflecting upon my first year in blogging, I’m sharing my top blogs from 2015.

I took a quick look through some of my favourite blog posts and compared how many views they’d had. I was actually surprised by the results.

I never thought the post that would come top of the list would be Why it’s important to reflect”.

It seems rather apt though, as I reflect on the year, that this is actually my most read post, with several thousand more views than some of the others!

Then the running gets closer.

A couple of my favourite wine based posts: “Five Things That Suck about Wine” and “7 Habits of Highly Effective Wine Drinking” have been really popular.

I loved writing those. You know how I love my wine!

One of my personal favourites that comes in at number three on my blog statistics was also my first post that the Huffington Post published. It got me invited to be a Huff Post blogger which I was so delighted about after just a couple of months of blogging.

The Big Five Life lessons to Pass to your Kids“.

I try to re read this post every now and again, to remind myself of the lessons I am trying to live by, as you can often forget what’s important in the rush of everyday life.

Mum Skills from the 70’s was also widely shared, and resonated with a lot of you. There is so much pressure on parents these days. Taking a few lessons from the old days sometimes relieves the pressure, and makes you realise that you are still doing a good job.Mum skills from the 70's nt

It was really touching that my Poem, “A miracle in Two Years” also came in the top five. This post is really close to my heart, as I was sharing my feelings on our struggle to conceive. Thankfully it has the happy ending of our overwhelming love for Elsie.

This was closely followed in the blog charts by “Risking it all for a sibling“. A very personal post.

Soon after I published this, I knew that I wasn’t the only one who had concerns about having another baby. I had lovely people contact me direct to share their personal stories, and let me know I wasn’t alone.

So there you have it blog friends. Those were my top posts of the year.

Some happy, some sad, some reflective, some funny, informative, and I’m told, wise.

I really hoped you have enjoyed reading my blog this year as much as I have enjoyed sharing the past year with you.
